Welcome to Cloth & Roll! This is a space to share and discuss all things creative and sewing related, and engage with the maker community. Cloth & Roll is all about rolling with the punches when it comes to creative work, taking you through projects from start to finish, including the not so glamorous bits in between. Here, we will be creating a safe space to talk about the mistakes we make when it comes to sewing, because that is what unlocks our learning and truly unites us as makers, no matter how experienced we are. Creative work can have a different meaning and impact for everyone, whether you make as a creative outlet, to be part of a community, as a business, for sustainable/environmental reasons, or just to have some alone time, we want to shine a light on your story.

Cloth & Roll is created on the unceded land of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.

About Me

I’m Jacqui. I’ve been a freelance costume maker working in the film, tv, and theatre industry for 8 years. I studied the practical elements of costume making such as pattern making, draping, tailoring, millinery, and art finishing, over three years full time in Sydney. After making for others for most of my career, I am excited about discussing personal creative projects and developing my style through unique patterns, prints, techniques, and colours. Find me @jacqlucey_makes on instagram.
